I record the Grand Ole Opry shows on CMT. Usually I skip most of it, not my style. This weekend I saw this guy who looked like he worked at Brake Check, wore a trucker cap of Our Lady of Guadalupe surrounded by roses. It was so outlandish, I want one.
Then the guy started playing. Acoustic Guitar, Dobro/steel guitar, bass & drums. Just flat blew me away. The guy is a very interesting songwriter.

Never watched that but I do like watching Austin City Limits tv show. I went to a taping once in the current space, wish I had gone to one before they moved.
He played at WOMH about a month ago. Sold out in day. Unbelievable talent and put on an incredible show. Besides his own albums, he does numerous collaborations with other artists.
When he around again, don’t miss him.

Heading to The Mucky Duck tomorrow night to see Amanda Anne Platt of Amanda and the Honeycutters. Appalachian, country folk. Wish the whole band would be there, but better than nothing.
