Which former Coogs would you like to see return to our house

Some I would love to see is our Pat Foster era COOGS. I didn’t like that he ignored the HS scene and developing players but I loved a lot of the JC players we had at that time.
Bo Outlaw (attended game in Florida)
Richard Hollis
Horace Chaney
David Diaz
Chris Morris
Derrick Daniels
Tim Moore
Sam Mack (transfer)
Rolando Fierra
Tyron Davis
Greg Cadillac Anderson was one of my favs

Have seen Herrera and Upchurch at games and RIP Alvaro Teheran a transfer.
Of course current coach Anthony Goldwire was a star and set a standard for UH PGs for years.

Yeah I love seeing former players.
Have seen guys like Birdsong, Dwight Davis, Don Chaney, Jerry Bonney, along with others the last few years.
Of course Dream shows up at times and we have Big E in the radio booth.
I think I saw Micheal Young at a game last but I would love to have Clyde come back to some games too.

Tommie the tank came in with Damon Jones under Alvin Brooks and transferred after a season.
I liked some of our early Brooks recruits….
Jones
Davis
Kirk Ford
Kenya Capers
Louis Truscott came from Nebraska. Was a Milby guy but forget which coach was here.
Chad Hendrick
Willie Byrd has been coming to the games for years.

There is one guy that might get an ovation louder than any other if he ever came back.

Benny Anders.

Actually can’t believe I said all that without mentioning Benny.

Absolutely! If we could get him back here for a game what an incredible response he would get.

Tony Smith was from Saginaw, MI. (He transferred to UNLV. Good luck getting him here.) Played under Coach Lewis.
Walker Russell was from Pontiac, MI. (He transferred to W. Michigan.) Played under Coach Lewis.
Jim Perry was also from Michigan (Otis Birdsong’s roommate, 12th man on the bench, crowd used to chant for him at the game.) Played under Coach Lewis.

Foster players:
Randy Brown (Transferred to New Mexico St. Has 3 NBA Championship rings.)
Craig Upchurch
Damon Jones from Galveston Ball (Has a NBA Championship ring)

Did not see any Dwight’s on the list . . . . .

Michael Young

I thought this thread was about former Pat Foster players. Speaking of Foster, I saw him at some UH games after he retired. Good coach.

Why?

You mentioned Foster in the first post, that’s all.

All of them.
