Don’t think it will happen, but he was mentioned in the St. Louis Post Dispatch as a possibility, after about 3-4 other candidates, due to Rhodes hiring him:
Rhoades could take a look at his former coach at University of Houston, Todd Whitting, who’s coached the Cougars to 127 wins the past three years.
Toxic campus, I can’t picture Rhoades courting Whitting with a straight face.

Rhoades was told to hire Whitting. It wasn’t really his decision. He was just the administrator on that one.
