Dana…17 mil payout means the pres isn’t letting him walk. She paid 17 mil for a coach and will at least get 2 years out of the extension. As sad as it seems that’s the truth. (theoretical) Unless of course Prime Time pays Danas buy out so he can coach and have his kids play in P5.

Unless we come up with a big chunk of change, afraid we have Helton 2.0.
We extended Helton’s contract after he won the C-USA title (our first year in the conference), his overall record as UH head coach at that time was 11-33-1.
It was a risk that came back to bite us since Helton went 13-20 after that.

Agree, either Pezman or Dana gets the boot. If Dana is too expensive to fire , then pezman will gets the axe for extending him.
