Even bluebloods have bad games. That doesn’t cause the whole fanbase to not show up the rest of the season. I think this fanbase prefers to not go to games and looks for opportunities to have an excuse not to. It’s just a culture thing of this fanbase.
I was at the OSU game also and agree that the concessions were varied and affordable. Took advantage of the Freddy’s.
When I was a season ticket holder in 2009 and 2010, parking and such was never an issue. We even had tailgating before games. What the heck happened?
Heck, I got 6 games, three tickets each, for $100! That is what we need to be doing. Even if you raised it to $170, you would make a crap ton of money.
I checked out the pricing for 2025, and the cheapest seats I could find were $150 a person! So, for a family of 5, that is $750 plus parking, food, etc. You are easily looking at $1,500.
Dudes, I pay $2,800 a year for Hawk season tickets (4 seats, 10 games) in the bottom bowl near the court, and it includes parking and I get 20% off food and Hawks store goods! Plus I get to enter two hours early and we get separate entrance into the stadium so we don’t have to wait in line with the rest of the “rabble”. We also get discounts on concerts, we get to attend a draft party at State Farm Arena, and the team hosts other get togethers where we get to meet the players and team management. I have met and shook hands with Dominique Wilkins, Kyle Korver, Spud Webb, etc.
The point is not to brag; it is to point out that I get way more value out of my Hawks tickets than it appears that a current season ticket holder gets from UH. That is absolutely unacceptable.
