No doubt! I know a lot of people roasting Big 12, but they are being left out for football for a long time! If this is the case, we might as well add Oregon State to balance the league. Oregon State play good baseball and football

And that doesn’t even include BYU. If you’ve listened to their head coach, Kevin Young, talk basketball. They could be a sleeping giant in the new future
If you’ve coached Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, which Kevin Young did, thats a very attractive pitch to 5 star recruits

Pretty sure that’s the entirety of Yormark’s plan. We aren’t going to have a B1G or SEC level football, ever. But we can have the absolute best bball league with separate rights.

The thing is basketball can flip a lot faster than football. Auburn and Alabama were not programs just like we weren’t 10 years ago. But to build football is a beast that takes generations. Yes every once in awhile you make a peach bowl or something, but you hire a good basketball coach with a little AAU spice and nil and you are a national title contender. Sec and big 10 basketball, more sec, is not hanging back and waiting.
At least you get it as opposed to many others who are clueless. Maximize your strength is 101 to build anything. And B12 strength will be basketball, period. Not sure why is it so hard for others to get it!

That’s why UConn is critical. It is a basketball program that has proved across coaches and generations. Unlike Gonzaga. I am not sure what it will be after Mark Few. I am not sure what we will be after CKS but Coach Guy Lewis and his legacy helps here.
