I was given a one month ban for being “too combative”. That’s all I’ll say about that since I don’t want to be too combative.
I guess hijacking (of threads)
is no longer against the law. Or should I say, against the uhlaw97. ![]()
By the by our Alltime home ticket sales occurred in 1967 when we sold about 275,000.
Just a curiosity question. How would our fan base react if U of H implemented a $10 per ticket premium in both football and basketball to go towards each sport’s NIL? Football @ $10 for 30,000 (average) per game would generate $1.8 million for the year. Basketball would approximate $1.3 million per year (7,000 x 10 x 18).
Just wondering? I know these numbers are not huge, but every drop in the bucket would help.
If Aggie did this it would be approximately $6 million for FB.
YES, I THINK WE WILL AVERAGE MORE THAN WE DID LAST YEAR! You can’t just analyze the home games we have in 2026 based on our first three years in the big 12. The overall buzz about the FUTURE OF UNIVERSITY HOUSTON FOOTBALL TEAM ON THE RISE! If the COOGS show that they have taken the next step from last year attendance will improve!
Aggie does do it and it is more than $10.
Isn’t the point to get people to come to games, not to make the tickets more expensive?
well i didnt get season tickets last yr, picked up 5 for this yr.
That’s awesome, hope there are 1,000 more of you who took the plunge
Thank you Kyle for the correction. I still believe in my metaphor. I’m 87 years old, will turn 88 during this season. Some of you guys’ notes have me pumped for this season. Also, what the Hoosiers did this last year with a bunch of transfers.
I like the metaphor from an all-time viewpoint of coming down the homestretch and passing everybody on the way to a championship.
From a single season POV… I hope we lead wire to wire with 10 yards in between us the entire race!
Welcome back Dude !
Go Coogs !
Off season ticket sales are in part based on the previous season. 2025’s attendance was based, in part, by how UH did in 2024. 2024 was a losing season.
2025 was a winning season and a bowl game win. I would expect off season ticket sales for 2026 to reflect that success.
In answer to the question, yes, UH have have better attendance in 2026, no thanks to the uninspiring schedule.
Houstonians come out in droves to watch the UNDEFEATED COOGS ALL SEASON LONG!!!
LFG COOGS!!!
We lost too many homes games last year…it will be a while before our attendance recovers, even if we are ranked.
I hate when these football attendance lists are published. Compared to the big boys, UH is not in their league.
I am going to get bashed for this but in Texas, the two big boys are Texas and Texas A&M. Both average over 100,000 for football. UH can’t even hit 40% of that number. That is part of the reason they look down on UH.
I don’t hate it at all when it’s published, I like shining the light on areas that need improvement. Just keep building to at least that 40K number. It we can’t outdraw Cincinnati this year we should be ridiculed.
That would be a good and reasonable goal because that’d actually be a pretty respectable but attainable jump.
Going off last year, basically a 12% rise in attendance
This is also a useful goal, because average Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) college football attendance was approximately 41,840 fans per game in the 2022 season.
