The question is how many ST holders sell out. Hopefully the prices are low enough to discourage that, but the north side has this problem.
Correct if Iām wrong - but even the Tech game last year was a last minute announcement for a sell out.
Itās not clear to me what āofficial attendanceā measures, so I canāt predict it. āOfficial attendanceā certainly doesnāt measure actual attendance.
Tickets sold. As it does at any university.
I donāt believe for a minute that āofficial attendanceā measures tickets sold. Perhaps tickets sold, plus tickets given away, plus something else like tickets deemed given away. It really isnāt clear what the term means.
Again no school uses āactual attendance ā so either make an announced attendance prediction or go troll somewhere else.
Why care about announced attendance when everyone knows that it has not bearing on actual attendance? I really donāt get it. We donāt even know what official attendance means. Remember when Kent State bought tickets from itself to increase announced attendance? Again, I donāt even know what it means for a university to buy tickets from itself.
Because itās the only thing thatās actually measured. Again make a prediction. We should be able to look back at it and evaluate how credible you are at speaking on ticket demand.
Because itās the only thing thatās actually measured.
What does official attendance measure? I donāt even think you believe it is tickets sold. I donāt know what official attendance measures; you donāt know what it measures. Everyone agrees that official attendance does not measure actual attendance, but none of us knows what it means.
Not sure why itās so hard to just guess the attendance number. I mean with the way youāre talking it seems like you donāt think itās going to be close to a sellout right? Do you think weāre over 90% full?
Why are you here- you should go over to the cesspool on Billyās site and you donāt have to tell me that youāve been on this site for a long time. Iāve been on the site for over 20 years and I know youāve posted a lot and I have not but you really detract from the conversation and really need to go away.
Not sure why itās so hard to just guess the attendance number.
Why is it hard to guess the official attendance figure? Because no one knows what that means. Itās like guessing a number between 20,000 and 40,000 that someone has in his head.
Iāll guess at an actual attendance number. I know what that means ā butts in the seats. The stadium will be between 50-60% full: 22,000. Of course, no one reports actual attendance figures. I also know there are a lot of people on this board who know intellectually that official attendance =/= actual attendance, but for whatever reason they pretend that there is some sort of equivalence.
Seems the most seats left are upper left
I think those are usually allocated to the visiting team if they have requested more application for there fans
The section below that is typically visiting band
And then just to the left in the end zone is the normal big12 visitor allocation
No but if the lower bowl is full and the upper decks are half full it will still be a heck of an atmosphere. Having 35K announced with 30K+ in seats and a Houston victory on prime time on FOX! Iām curious what TV number we will do. Notre Dame vs BYU will be the big number but if it is a good game and the crowd looks good we should get a lot of casuals flipping in.
It will sell out ! Time to Ride or Die!
Go Coogs ā¦Eat em up !
Lmao 50%? Hard to say youāre not a troll when thatās what youāre throwing out there.
TAMU91,
Come on now.
50-60% full?
Iām confident that there will be more stadium fill than that.
Gate attendance is also measured, but schools donāt typically release it. Itās FOIA-able, though.
I mean if itās not released then itās immaterial to the discussion. I just wanted to get the A&M fan to commit to a prediction on attendance which he has, since he was speaking so definitively about the ticket demand. The crowd is going to be well over half full. Heās just here to troll.
Also, lest anyone think that the whole overreporting attendance thing is exclusive to us, this might be of interest:
