443: Welcome to 2-ston; AAC Titles & Silver Medals by Scott & Holman Pawdcast

This week’s episode is brought to you by the number 2! It’s the number of regular season losses for your Cougar men’s basketball program, which finished 29-2 to win its first outright conference title since the Phi Slama Jama days. And #2 is also where Cougar men’s track placed at NCAA Indoor National Championships, taking the team silver medal while winning a national title in the 4x400 relay! Suffice it to say, this was a huge week for Cougar athletics!

And that’s not even mentioning that the Coog baseball team picked up a much-needed series sweep, softball had its last non-conference weekend of the year, women’s hoops closed its season at the AAC tourney, and golf & tennis were in action as well!

Does the Houston Cougars Top 6 power ranking help them get a #2 seed in the NCAA Tournament? Dustin Rensink, who co-hosts the Scott and Holman Pawdcast, joins Host Robert Land to look at:

1) Their potential seed
2) Corey Davis and Dejon Jarreau’s recent hot streaks
3) The AAC Tourney’s importance
4) Sampson’s Closing 5 Lineup

So what was the story about nick lechey (sp?) calling out one of the hosts?

(Dustin) #5

He had tweeted that Sampson was a dirty coach, at which point Sam tweeted that “Cincinnati’s biggest celebrity fan is the guy from the 4th biggest boy band from 1997”, to which Mr. Lachey responded “3rd. Get it right, a**hole”
