If the bracket was built on the current NET rankings, we would be the only AAC team to make it. No bueno.
AP #8
No other AAC team received any votes this week. SMH
Boise only received 15.
Texas drop one spot after their lost really?

Wow! We did pass up Kansas. We absolutely should have, but didn’t really think it would happen.
They are really getting a lot of mileage out of the Kansas win…even though they dropped a HOME game to TT.
Maybe a lot of the voters thought it was a football poll !!
Some tough games for teams ranked above UH this upcoming week:
Tonight
#2 Baylor hosts #9 Kansas
Tue
#6 Tenn at Florida (6-4)
Fri
#7 Mich at Purdue (10-5)
Sat
#2 Baylor at Ok State (9-3)
#5 Texas at TCU (9-5)
#6 Tenn hosts #19 Missouri
I think Tennessee would be next team to overlap to get to #7. If either Mich or Tex loses that should propel UH to #6 ranking next week.
They may be #5, but they had a significant drop in the votes they received in both polls. They dropped 2-3 spots based on vote totals. Always look at the vote totals some voters don’t always look at the just finished weekend. The thing is, a number of schools around them lost as well.
We are a solid #8. Depending on which poll you looking at, we’re closer to #5/6 than #9, Kansas, is to us.
If we take care of business this week, we could be top 5 next week.
Here’s how AP Writer’s voted for Coogs anywhere from position #4 through #12.
#4 – 2 ( Sam Blum- Dallas Morn News,Paul Klee-DenverGazette) seem like nice Men
#5 – 1
#6 – 11
#7 – 6
#8 – 20
#9 – 17
#10 – 3
#11 – 3
#12 – 1 (Seth Davis)
Yes it is. I thought since I had time today , I would list it out for evry1.
#6 Tennessee lost badly at unranked Florida so that should drop them behind UH.
#3 Villanova needed 2 FTs in the final seconds to beat Seton Hall.
Next matchup to watch is Friday- Michigan goes to Purdue who’s riding a 4-game win streak, including two wins at ranked Big10 teams OSU/MSU.
#5 Texas university had both of their games postponed this week, so we’re looking at rising to #6 for the next poll.
Our 10 point win against Boise State (13-1) is looking good for SOS, they are 13-0 since then. Then if #12 TT(11-4) keeps winning it can only help us come seeding time.
