The University of Houston commit led Lee to a 42-15 victory Saturday in the Red Raiders home opener. Amie was 17-of-23 passing with three touchdown throws. He also added 59 yards on the ground on ten carries as REL moved to 2-0 under new head coach Kurt Traylor.

17 out of 23 is pretty darn good. Specially, when most of those passes arenā€™t really bubble screens. For me, accuracy is the most important trait for a QB.

That guy is the real deal. Throws a nice spiral and has legs like GW.

Iā€™m not embarrassed by the riches just yet but it seems to me weā€™re getting players that we havenā€™t gotten before.

I truly believe a lot of it is due to the Ed Oliver effect.

Nice, I was worried with Johnson leaving.

School did post in a reply on that thread that he would be signing with UH.

These kids must have a great relationship with CMA if they didnā€™t jump ship after a change at OC. I canā€™t say how much of a great recruiter he is. Heā€™s held this class in tact (*knock on wood) the entire time theyā€™ve all committed.

nothing wrong with thatā€¦take the visit and see New York, its a great experience for the kidā€¦

Yep, he should have a blast. The forecast for Syracuse this weekend is highs in the mid 20ā€™s with lows near 10. Hope he likes the cold

Yes what a wonderful experience

Seeing the sights of the 5th largest city in the state of New York

Maybe he can catch a minor league hockey game while heā€™s in town

Syracuse is in upstate New York, close to Lake Oneida, and west of Utica. Beautiful country, and probably a unique experience to visit for a kid like Amie, who i doubt has ever been up north before. The cold likely something heā€™s never experienced before so heā€™ll get that, tooā€¦these visits to far away places allow kids to learn and growā€¦Why shouldnt he take the opportunity?
Visiting is a fun thing, but living there for 4 or 5 years? Something elseā€¦Its not like Amie can play for them next yearā€¦Their QB, Dungey, is a 2 year starter and a great passer. His back up, Tommy DeVito is a great prospect at QB who can really pass, as wellā€¦and last year was his first at Syracuse, so heā€™s just a kidā€¦LOTS of competition at Syracuseā€¦You think Babers isnt going to have QBs??
Ask Clemsonā€¦
I think Chance enjoys his visit, says BRRRRR, and commits to Houston Wednesday.

They mention our QB coach leaving and his relationship with the Cuse QB coach Sean Lewis as reasons for the visit.

Lewis is the favorite to get the Kent HC job & could be gone by monday.

Donā€™t forget heā€™s also competing with DK4 and Bryson Smith who also expect to be QBā€™s

I think the Syracuse head coach will bolt after this year anyway. There has to be other places to visit in nicer climates with his talent level.

I will be shocked if he commits thereā€¦i think he wanted to take the trip ā€œjust to be sureā€ about earlier judgement in picking Houstonā€¦I think Chance sees the great opportunity in future here at Houston.

A good fellow Tyler player flipped from SMU to Syracuse last week.

Not good development. We need Chance.
