C/O '20 Freestyler Courtney Harris commits to UH Swimming

Courtney Harris from O’Fallon, Missouri has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Houston’s class of 2024. A USA Swimming Scholastic All-American from Fort Zumwalt West High School, Harris will join fellow verbal commits Grace Butcher, Hannah Farmer, Maddie Wallin, Saige Kemeny, and Sophie Anderson in the fall of 2020.

Harris won the 100 free (50.93) and was runner-up in the 50 (23.76) at the 2019 Missouri MSHSAA Girls Class 2 State Championships. In club swimming, where she represents Rec Plex Sharks, she competed at 2018 Winter Juniors West in the 50/100/200 free. In March, she swam the 50/100/200 free, 100 back, and 100 fly at Columbia Sectionals, finaling in the 50 free (5th with 23.56), 100 free (5th with 51.50), and 200 free (8th with 1:53.63). This summer she competed at Jenx Sectionals and picked up a new time in the LCM 200 back to make finals. She was also a finalist in the 50 free (6th, 26.93), 100 free (8th, 59.18), and 200 free (30th, 2:11.81).

Class of 2024 must be her UH graduating class right? Or else she’s in 8th grade? Doesn’t look like an 8th grader to me.
