Sweet Lou. Man I so enjoyed watching him play as a 12-15 year old kid. Yes my dad pointed him out on the freshmen squad. I met him once in Dallas. My senior year I attended school that my church had created and there was a big tournament for church schools being held at the Automobile building at the State Fairgrounds. We had just played and were leaving and I see this big guy with a UH warm up jacket on and I immediately recognized him and walked up to him and asked him if his name was Louis Dunbar and he said yes and I went on to explain how my dad would take me to watch basketball games at UH before we moved to Dallas. We ended up talking for about 5 minutes and he was so cool. I believe he had come to watch a cousin play and mentioned he had some plans he was working on and told me to keep an ear out listening. Several months later he was on the Harlem Globetrotters. The 1st 6’ 9" point guard before Earvin “Magic” Johnson Jr.
