Class of 2019 offers

What’s his rating? I can’t find it on 247.

I think he is under their radar. Not rated on Rivals either. I watched his offensive and defensive highlights and he looks like a DE at the next level to me. He could be an awesome TE for us, but since we don’t seem to use ours much anymore, DE is where he can have a big impact.

Rivals shows offers from everyone from Alabama to Southern. They also say he’s 6’8".

True, I just hope he fills out nicely. At 215 he’d be a big Y WR for us. His Senior year and his first Spring camp will be telling as to what he plays first. He’d be a great DE if he can generate pressure on his own. I’m not opposed to that at all.

Talking about Ugwoegbu, he has good backside pursuit and fights off blockers well. Pushes blockers into RB trying to run off tackle. On film, he just seemed slow at WR. He seems to have the frame to carry more weight meaning he isn’t thin-boned. First he has to sign, right!

I need to see his film. On rivals? 247 is extremely slow with his eval, he has offers from five Power 5 schools. What gives?

Found the highlights:

I watched these highlights on Rivals.

Just shows how behind these recruiting websites are. They hype the guys that don’t need it and miss a very large number of guys like him.

Street’s close with Amie. The offer was made to entice Amie.

Reminds me of Vincent Marshall

Good offer.

Video got better as it went on, but after the first several highlights I was yelling at him to quit running backwards after the catch! Some of these guys are such phenomenal athletes in HS that they develop bad habits that get them in trouble at the next level. Kid is super shifty and has great hands though.

Read something about receivers and how they’re coached. One coach went to the Army All-American game and watched practice. Said he saw the DBs lined way off, but the receivers would start off by making a juke move at the line. He asked many of them why they did that since it didn’t give them an advantage and they all said they were being trained that way. Said that most college coaches would have to train them the right way.

He better hope he’s shifty. At his size, one good solid hit and he could be done.

“I’m definitely going to take a visit to Syracuse,” Street said. “I’ve been talking to Texas. TCU wants me to visit. I talked to Gary Patterson. Texas, (receivers) coach Drew (Mehringer). I texted him Friday and just told him congratulations on the win in the bowl game, and he just said keep in touch.”

Doesnt seem interested.
