The difference is Kansas has a basketball program.

Kansas is only bad because they hired bad coaches. If Nick Saban decided to coach for Kansas, the Jayhawks would become an instant success. The problem is they can’t attract that caliber of coach.

Was thinking the same. Being a “P5” does not automatically grant a coach success. He has to come with it, day one!

Kansas has no recruits. KSU and KU both have to go out of the state to find players.

Kansas, KSU, Iowa State are normally the lone P5 offers for those kids they recruit outta state. They’ll mess up a recruiting board at the last minute lol

They basically are G5 teams in a P5 league and it shows as they can be beaten consistently

Kansas does have some D1 caliber recruits and they are usually big slow farm boys that get lured to successful programs to play on the line.
