We need to hire a Herman version of a basketball coach. Last year we would beat or at least stay close to the top teams but lose to the Tulane’s. This year we can’t beat the big boys and just squeak by the little boys. That’s not progress in my book.

Want to know what our record was after 8 conference games last year: 4-4.
We lost an 11 point game, a 12 point game, and a 9 point game (to freaking USF) at this point last year.
We’ve lost 3 under 10 point games to good teams and got drubbed on the road by a good team 2 days after we played A hotly contested OT game.
Folks, I just got home from that game in Dallas, and people on here need to understand a couple of things. First - that SMU team is for real; they are big, and talented! Second - their newly-renovated arena is “tight,” but very nice. And third, we would all kill for the kind of support they are getting in Dallas for that team; the arena was sold out, (that’s 7,000 tickets sold!); and my ticket - in the end zone - cost $55.00!!! - plus a $5.00 fee. I was afraid to even ask what those box seats cost!
