Outside looking in, he seems to have buy in from the WR group and former players already. And he is only 25 I believe. Nice!

We will never know what lead to this. I will say that the wide receiver performance at the Spring scrimmage was very poor. Looking forward to Coach Guiton coming back and getting this group ready to perform at a high level next year.

How unusual is this? You tell me. This is between two or more individuals. That should always stay there.
Now we could extrapolate but that is JUST extrapolate. I’ll take a try at it. Again, I am just guessing out there.
On the surface I don’t like it. Just a few months after getting the job we already have one issue. This issue should have not happened. Reasons that it happened? Did Major see it coming? Then we should have part ways when Major put his staff together. There were plenty of candidates available at that time. Bad receiving plays during our Spring game? That is usually the sum of weeks of training and here is lays the problem. Receivers and QB’s have distinctive assignments. They are not answering their duties right now. It is valid for both Wr’s and Qb’s Let’s hope this will be turned around quickly. Supposedly we are using the same playbook but players have graduated. Keep in mind that we now have in Allen a QB that is not Ward. They are very different from one another. The real problem for our offense is that we have two potential QB’s injured. That is a much bigger problem than it seems. It affects everybody. Allen needs the competition. He needs to have two/three players pushing him to excel. Postma has to have the worst luck possible. I still believe that if Postma had been given the proper chance he would have pushed Allen to the limits. This would have been a huge plus for us. Postma brings a different dimension to the position that Allen does not. This is where having RB’s performing well is a big plus. Let’s hope our OL can dominate the line of scrimmage and give us a running offense that will open up options for Allen. Good luck to Guiton. He has no time to waste.

What does worrying about something you don’t know the answer to do for help?

All Coog fans just shuddered.

As for me, I’ll just let Coach Applewhite do his job. He can make whatever staff changes he deems are prudent at any point in time. Preseason, mid season or post season, its doesn’t really matter to me.

In all actuality, Fall camp is when it really matters. I am anticipating some true freshmen competing for significant playing time. Let just hope we are not doing any coaching changes come August.

You’ve never worked with anyone who is good and then takes a nose-dive? I have. People change, things happen. Using what you said, we don’t know, and speculation is just idle chatter. It’s much better this is found out now then in the fall.

Again, I think there are many fans who want to create an overt and covert narrative that Applewhite doesn’t know what he is doing, he’s in over his head, and so on. I think the real issue is that most of us feel deeply maligned by Herman, and want to displace those feelings on to Applewhite.

Applewhite may not work out and that will suuuuck if he does not. However, I don’t like all the negative pre-judgement. I think it hurts the program. My opinion.
