University of Houston senior first baseman Joe Davis was named Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week, the association announced on Wednesday afternoon.
In the fourth week of the regular season, Davis turned in a .625/.625/1.062 slash across a midweek bout against Rice and three-game series against Army at Don Sanders Field at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park. The Austin native finished 10-for-16 with one double, two home runs, eight RBI and two runs scored.
