Davis went 9-for-17 (.529) with three runs and four RBI in Houston’s four games last week, helping the Cougars to a 3-1 week, including a weekend sweep of New Mexico and Columbia.
The Austin, Texas native slugged .647 with two doubles and had three multi-hit games, including back-to-back three-hit games vs. McNeese and New Mexico. He wrapped a successful week with a three-RBI day on two hits with two runs, which was highlighted by a three-run double to cap a weekend sweep of Columbia on Sunday.
Davis enters this week leading the Cougars offensively with a .362 average on 25 hits, two home runs and 12 RBI through 16 games.
