I wonder if the WRs were told not to layout for the ball? Otherwise, the effort here is really sad for guys trying to earn playing time and follow up on a breakout year for them.

Lol thatā€™s the only thing I can think of.

Dunbarā€™s draft profile on NFL.com - written by Lance Zierlein. Heā€™s listed as a ā€œPriority Free Agentā€ which means that they expect him to go undrafted.

I didnā€™t find any other Coogs on the site

Dunbar is an appealing prospect with a combination of size, short-area quickness and route moxie that may be translatable into the league. Heā€™s had four position coaches during his time at Houston and could benefit by learning from an NFL coach and a veteran receiver or two. He doesnā€™t have the deep speed to threaten NFL cornerbacks down the field, but his route running and ball skills give him a shot at making a roster as a possession receiver.

Hereā€™s a quote from the Pro Football Hall of Fame website:
"l run the 40 in 4.7 and thatā€™s fast enough. If the game of catching a football was simply a 40-yard race between the receivers and the cornerbacks, Iā€™d lose some races. But it is more than just that. I know how to beat those speed burners. The secret is to get the jump on the defensive back.ā€ - Fred Biletnikoff

Dunbar will get an opportunity in training camp. Then itā€™s all up to him.

Overall a pretty fair write up.

Yeah, but other than being a Hall of Fame guy and having an award named after him, what did he know? Everyone knows that Mel Kiper knows everything and he says speed is what its all about. And besides, Kiper has a lot of hair and a big mouth ā€“ so that should give him a lot more credibility.

Dunbar is the perfect example of what happens when you continue to work on your game. He wasnā€™t the top receiver until his senior year, but his hard work paid off. Analysts will be concerned with his speed, but weā€™ve seen receivers use their route running to compensate for that. Dunbarā€™s quickness off the ball and route running should intrigue teams. Heā€™s a competitor who refuses to give up or be denied, and that could get him drafted. If he doesnā€™t get drafted, teams will be lining up to sign him as a free agent.

This. Heā€™s explosive at the line and too big to jam.

It will intrigue all the player personnel folks who remember that guy whose name I canā€™t spell, Biletnikoff, so something like that!
