It’s who you keep around you that will mess all up. If they do tournament play might as well push it back and force folks to travel early so if they test positive they have time to recover
If Cincy beats Tulsa and we beat Memphis and SMU, then our game with Tulsa would decide who plays Cincy in the AAC championship game. But we would have to play them on Dec. 19. So what is the deal here?

there is no deal… if tulsa beats navy the ccg is clinched … our game vs tulsa no longer has any effect on who will play in the conference championship
No, they still have to play Cincy, thus if we win our last 3 games, we can be in CCG as Red 80 says.
Not saying we win out, but it is possible. With the way things are going, any of these postponements, then a CCG is almost a joke.
Declare Cincy the winner and move on !!

we only have 2 games left before the ccg … our schedule is 2 games for sure, then if tulsa and houston both arent in the title game then we get a 3rd game…that 3rd game will be after the top 2 teams conference title contenders have been decided
under the original rules we’d be eliminated… no way we’d qualify via win percentage
but someone just posted this on social media…the aac approved covid tie-breaker rules 2 months ago… we are technially still in
in the case of uneven schedules because of postponements, wins dont matter, its about total losses …
i dont feel like figuring out the tie breakers but if tulsa losses (navy and cincy) out and we win out (smu and memphis) we will be tied for 2nd place…some tie breakers will kick in dont know how itll plays out tho
Move CCG back a week.
Should not be a problem with all the shuffling that has already happened.
Otherwise name Cincy and move on.
In most likelyhood, it will play itself out.

They’ve already moved it back two weeks to the 19th. Bowl game selections were pushed back two weeks to the 20th. CCG can’t be moved back any further.

…unless Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Notre Dame gets covid…then they WILL push it back…you need major P5 to get it in order for them to move it back again! Otherwise 19th is capped.

A couple of months ago I was listening to John and lance in the morning and lance mentioned that stipends play a big part on why college football wants to finish the regular season in December.
