“We are glad to have Andy join our team,” interim Bastrop schools Superintendent Barry Edwards said. “We are confident that his experience as an athletic director and coordinator in other districts, combined with his enthusiasm for building programs and serving students will be an asset to Bastrop ISD.”
Sexton graduated in 1989 from the University of Houston, where he played football on a full scholarship and remained at the campus as a coaching assistant after graduation. He earned a master’s degree in 1992 before beginning his teachin and coaching career.
