Herman has been so impressed that a few weeks ago, he called Birden’s former high school coach Ed Pustejovsky.
“I thanked him for the quality young man that he had sent our way,” Herman said. “I don’t do that very often, but I wanted Ed to know it’s been a pleasure to coach this young man since we’ve gotten to know him.”
