I agree. I think CKS and UH are a great fit and not because of scoring but because of his stress on defense and “the bigger picture” who can reasonably provide that for cheaper? its about what he wants and what we can give him but our finances are entirely dependent on realignment or an increase in competition in our own conference. 4 Bids is a good thing. Its not handed to us like B12. We should retain CKS at all cost even if Kellen is up next which im all for it. Who better than the son who’s been with him the longest.

Of course we can go to NY6 bowls every year…if we want to bad enough. That’s not that lofty a goal. But you can’t do it hiring people like Applewhite.

Our Admin is 3 or 4 steps ahead of us…the Applewhite situation should have taught us all something… No worries.
The Levine era should have taught us what we learned under the Applewhite regime, AGAIN. We can’t afford the same mistake a third time.

It’s worth noting that none of that happened while Pezman was here. Most of us were surprised that he pulled the trigger on Applewhite when he did - and we now know that it might’ve happened even without the bowl debacle. Pezman gets it, and Khator trusts him, so I am less concerned that those types of mistakes will continue to be made.
Pezman doesn’t work in isolation.

Agreed. But he should drive athletic personnel decisions, especially football. Don’t forget he has seen an elite-level program firsthand, which should at least allow him to see a contrast.
