CKS after the game with the radio crew:

  • At halftime, told the team that they were performing, not playing. Told them he was going to drop the pork chop into the pool after the half and that they needed to go rebound.
  • Galen was so good with the push game.
  • 20 assists on 32 made baskets.
  • Good teams need to learn how to put the foot on team’s necks
  • Really disappointed in how we finished against UCONN. Worked on that over the last few days.
  • Happy with the stretch since playing Temple at home. Tough 5 game stretch and very cool to go 5-0
  • Corey, Dejon, and Gresham had huge sections here today.
  • Corey Davis’s mother is way ahead of everybody as she’s grabbing tickets way ahead of time. Going to miss Corey, but may miss his mom more.
  • No update on Jarreau.

Announcers for the game were good but did anyone else find it strange the one announcer said twice that Utah State was probably our best win of the year. Especially when he mentioned USU’s NET rating both times. I wonder if he incorrectly read it as a road game. It shouldn’t be based on being down by 10 at the half either because we were down by 10 to LSU as well. Also USU’s largest margin of 13 was early in the first half. LSU’s largest margin of 15 was a little ways into the second half.

Such a strange thing for him to mention twice.

I didn’t expect it to be serious since Jarreau didn’t wait to be helped. He basically speed-limped to the locker room. Guessing he figured he could get a cold compress from the locker room and on his knee faster than the trainers.

The announcers were very complementary of UH. As a grad and fan, it is exciting to hear members of the national media mention UH could be a #2 seed and an Elite 8 caliber team.
