History

I HAD POSTED A WHILE BACK ABOUT OUR PAST BUT HERE GOES
AGAIN. OVER THE YEARS OUR FRONT LINE PLAYERS CAN USUALLY
PLAY WITH ANYBODY. HOWEVER IF WE GET TOO MANY INJURIES
AMONG THIS GROOP WE ARE DONE. IF SOME OF THESE PLAYERS
DONOT MAKE IT BACK I FEER WE ARE DUE FOR SOME MORE BAD
GAMES. WE JUST DON’T SEEM TO DEVELOPE ENOUGH GOOD
PLAYERS BEYOUND OUR STARTERS. I HAVE SEEN IT OVER 50
YEARS. HOPE I AM MISTAKEN. GO COOGS

Completely agree.

5 star and 4 star players, in many instances, are ready to play at a high level when they step onto campus. 3 star, 2 star and others require time to develop . . . . . many times that development time is one, two or three years. Thus, with the limited # of scholarships, major p5 schools have 3 deep front liners using frosh and sophs, and schools like UH have front liners Jr’s and Sr’s while youngsters are not yet strong enough to be front line players. Circumstances due to recruiting difficulties and MONEY . . . . .
