At the game tonight so updates may be sporadic. Wind is blowing hard out to left so there may be some homers tonight.

SHSU gets a leadoff double, 2 1-out HBPs to load the bases, a sac fly and a 2-out single to score two runs. Hollis makes a nice diving catch to end the threat and save another run.

Triolo doubles with one out, Davis walks with 2 outs, Bielo is HBP, Padgett and Coldiron both walk to bring in two runs.

Leadoff double by Bielo is followed by a triple by Padgett to give the Coogs lead 3-2

Leadoff double , wild pitch and a walk put runners on the corners with no outs. Lockhart induces a foulout to Davis and Rooney goes to the pen to bring in Kyle Ott.

Double steal brings home a run, but Ott escapes further trouble.

Houston starter Lael Lockhart Jr. tossed a career-long 4.1 innings and struck out a career-high five in a predetermined pitch-count outing en route to his first career win as a Cougar. Lockhart allowed three runs on four hits with one walk against a dominant hitting Bearkat team.

Senior Kyle Ott helped Lockhart out of the fifth inning with one strikeout, while senior Joey Pulido was effortless in a 3.0 inning relief outing. Pulido struck out four and allowed just one run on three hits before handing the ball over to sophomore Carter Henry, who tossed a scoreless ninth.

Good job by Lockhart. Wonder if they are going to use him more as a pitcher.

Looks like it. Whitting made it seem in his interview that he was probably going to continue being the mid week guy.

If He can continue to improve his control. I think He has the stuff to maybe move to weekend starter next year.
