Houston vs Baylor next week?

So far, Berman is only quoting Pez and Rhoades. Pez says the players are very excited to play. If you are a football player, you would expect them to be sky high expecially after hearing their 2nd game of the year was cancelled.

Pez, players and fans are happy. This is great for the program, CDH doesn’t have to like it but accepts it. It is a tough first game with recruiting implications.

This rumor that Dana is “not pleased” is FAKE NEWS.

The risk you run by sitting around waiting to play as games get postponed is that by the time you do play, you’re playing some crappy sunbelt team but they have already played 3 games while you practiced and watched tape.
Playing Baylor next week is amazing. It gives you a quality opponent to work through real game scenarios. Everything I know about CDH and the character of our program tells me everyone involved is excited for the challenge and grateful for the opportunity to play now.

Arguably, Memphis is as close to a challenge as Baylor to kick off the season IMO. If CDH doesn’t want to play Baylor, we have the wrong coach. Not buying it at all

Where was Baylor picked to finished in the Big 12?

4th according to the magazine I saw. Of course, judging by how Kan State, Kansas, TT, OU, ut, WVU and Iowa State did yesterday, that’s not saying much. WVU, OU and ut beat up on the little sisters of the poor.

This is just a feeling but I think this is a very significant event. I think it is a sign that our cold war with the Big 12 might be thawing. Dodds is gone, I think this a new era.

I personally would pay for an all expense paid trip for Dodds to hang out with the Memphis players on the party bus.

Me too
Caronavirus has hurt us in many ways
but it also as eased an instate Rival tensions against us. Perhaps it can ease a conference invite or two into P5 conferences
lets just wait and see.

Don’t know if Dana is excited but I am.

Or that the B12 sees us as low hanging fruit. You think Baylor would touch this last minute game vs the 2016 or even 2018 Coogs? When we get good again the B12 will go back to country club snobbing us.

We played Texas Tech at ROB, and Baylor will be/ should be played at TDECU

Early line bu -7, down from 8. Tough year to wager
so many last minute roster adjustments. Still, going with the Coogs.

They are NOT our enemy
Both Baylor and Tech voted FOR us when our school was brought up for admission a couple of years ago. and they are both willing to play us

They were just publicly following what Texas was doing, which was an empty show. Nothing more. They don’t want us in that conference because they know we would be a huge threat to them in recruiting.
