Having a winning record, but failing in the conference tournament and not making the NCAA tournament, is not what many call a “winner”
Football equivalent is going 7-5 and going to the NO Bowl. Technically a winner but not going to get the fringe fan (and some regular fans) excited.
Maybe we could recruit better if students showed up for the games. Chicken and egg kinda thing.
