Hah…no, it isn’t. He was a little better this year as he was 13 for 35 in catching runners. It’ll be interesting to see if he continues to catch with Houston as we have Slaughter and Bartlett returning and another catcher coming in (Kyle Lovelace). Redden did play 3rd and pitch in high school, but he’s been a catcher exclusively in JUCO.
He can hit though as he again hit over .300 (.337) with 2 HR and 30 RBIs while walking more than he K’d (18 to 13). He was with Angelina College this year.
