Judge(a USF alum) cracks Charlie Strong's tail over player conduct

"Think long and hard about whether being head coach at USF is a good fit for you before any other members of this community have to suffer at the hands of one of your players.”

Ridiculous story. The judge would have had a point if a couple of players were transfers from other schools where they were suspended. To say a coach is responsible for the actions of players he never recruited, that are acting up during the off-season, is just plain ignorant. Even worse, it says the judge said it during a preliminary hearing. Which means the students haven’t even been tried yet and the judge is voicing a public opinion. It wouldn’t be a reach to say that judge has ulterior motives.

Whole thing is very odd.

Agreed…this was just plain weird.

There was video of the arse chewing on ‘Outside The Lines’. It was unsettling. Judge looked quite deranged.

Guessing it may have been due to a number of USF players having issues under Taggart. He wasn’t exactly known to recruit the “cleanest” players. Strong basically got the back-end of it.

Really interesting to watch Charlie and USF going forth. If he tries to do what he did at UT, I expect a number of players to be taken off the roster. Could hurt their chances this year.

Very odd, especially wit Strong seemingly sacrificing himself to clean up the culture at UT

Sounds to me like someone not happy that the school added football and didn’t remain an academics only school
