She brought a lot of things to the campus, but the most important thing she brought was a sense of pride. For too long we made excuses for going to UH. "I could have gone to (fill in the blank) but I went to UH because (fill in the blank). Now we went to UH because we wanted to go to UH because it is a great school.
For UH, perception has always followed reality. She changed the reality AND she changed the perception.
We will get to AAU status, there is no doubt in my mind at this point.
We will be viewed as UCLA south.

Or viewed as U of H, where other schools can be viewed as the U of H of the…
