UTEP continues to roll. They just beat rival NMSU by 15. While not world beaters, the Aggies have been to 7 of the last 8 NCAA tourneys and took final four participant Auburn down to the buzzer last year with nearly the exact same team. I have a feeling the Miners will be really tough to beat.

The USF coach seemed to have his team heading in the right direction. He seems to be like Sampson where he needs players to buy into the culture. Maybe he hasn’t found the right recruits?

more likely florida is overrated… florida needed a game winner to beat towson just a few days ago…struggled badly with north florida…and lost to florida sate who is supposed to be rebuilding (who was already beat by pitt)

Edit: BYU loses in OT to Boise St. BYU shot under 40% from the field and under 30% from 3. Haws went 0-fer from 3. Figures. BSU’s perimeter defense looked much better than UH at this point.

Ranked UT falls against an unranked opponent (Georgetown). Basketball is trying to match football step for step.
What had UT done to deserve being ranked? They beat Northern Colorado, Purdue, California Baptist, and Prairie View before losing to Georgetown. The win at Purdue was no biggy sionce the Boilermakers have only beaten Green Bay and Chicago State, but lost to Penn State and UT.

That’s the life. They didn’t make the tournament last season, had mediore overall talent and lost their impact player. Start this season off with 3 cupcake wins and a decent win and are inside the top 20.
