In fact, at the U.S. Army Pacific Headquarters, where I did the last 3 years of my 20+ year military career, one of the Deputy Commanders is an AUSTRALIAN two-star General; one of only a small number in their Army. I worked with two different Aussies that held that job, and it’s considered to be one of their Army’s most prestigious positions. Many that hold it go on to become the Australian Army Chief of Staff.

Dane may still be in the USA in the future making big bucks, and as such, paying BIG TAXES here while playing in the NFL.
There’s no reason on earth why he should be ashamed of where he came from. UH has MANY foreign nationals that are attending school here. Many will stay in the US and become citizens. Others may go back to their homelands.
But they can ALL be proud of their heritage.
Great for Dane! Nothing wrong with representing in front of his family.
