But yes I agree. TCU’s model should be our blueprint (somewhat, lots of differences both positive and negative), for what we want to achieve (high level sustained success before an eventual invite).

I just fear the door closed in 2011, as the money is getting so big that it might not ever be financially feasible to add any new teams to the P5.

I agree with your assessment that perhaps the door has closed and that going forward we should focus on strengthening the AAC by adding BYU and Boise State. With an expanded CFP and the possibility of AQ for the conference, this puts us in a position to compete at the national level.

But heck, currently we aren’t even competitive in the AAC, so the first order of business is to start winning again.
