Players leaving early for NBA

I don’t care if we are the favorites or not; I care if we win or not.

I don’t think Alley will be back next year if all of the other players return and are academically eligible. According to Duarte, both DeJon and Quinton are returning. We will have 14 players for 13 scholarships, so one must go off of scholarship. Of course there’s always the chance someone else will drop or transfer. Rarely do all players return.

I am not going to speculate on who may be gone. They may all be back too.

Yes Alley would be an option. For one he can switch on everything and 2 he is strong enough to hold his position. There are not too many centers who can really score. It is just one more option against certain matchups.
Sampson did use him there in the 18-19 season.
Gresham, Gorham, White, Powell and Roberts will also be options at the 5 and all of these guys offer a different set of skills.

Man, Jarreau makes some great passes AT TIMES. At other times, I wish I had never hear of him.

Yep I think foes caught on to his alley oop passes to Gresham

Tyson is solid during the European tour… It’s just that when he was playing on the team scrimmages he was going against Jarreau and Hinton two excellent defensive players. He can shoot.

If you don’t want to speculate on who may leave that’s cool and makes sense. But all of the players coming back doesn’t seem like a realistic possibility. The only way that would happen is if someone goes off scholarship, which seems extremely unlikely.

If he doesn’t shoot at a high % he many not see many mins this year due to the depth of the team. I’m sure he has improved practicing against Jarreau, Hinton, etc everyday. Those practices have to be intense in the backcourt lol.

now we wait on grimes

Program has arrived when you have multiple players testing the waters. Between Hinton and Jarreau I’m not sure who is more likely to stay in the draft.

I’m going to be very disappointed if all 3 leave

I’m not trying to single out Deeky but don’t you think the NBA is going to get a little tired of 5 rounds of players “declaring” for a 2 round draft just to test the waters?

Maybe, but on the other hand this gives the NBA a chance to look at players close up, talk to them, etc.

With only two rounds in the draft, you can’t miss. You’ve got to get value.

Gresham will start at the 5,
White at the 4, Hinton at the 3, Grimes at the 2 and DeJon at the 1.

Possible in some games, Mills at the 2.

Glad to see Quentin back. He’s a good kid and another year will be highly beneficial for himself and the program. Has the opportunity to push himself higher in the draft.

Agreed with Mills coming off the bench very quickly in most games LOL…it will be very interesting to see how the new comers blend in…
