D’Onofrio was 4-1 vs. GT at Miami. Only loss was in the year tech went to the Orange Bowl.
Georgia Tech will fly UTSA in if they lose to Duke. Same situation as how Florida State bought a cupcake game against ULM to get to a bowl game.
Why UTSA? Arkansas State has a game against Troy on 12/2, and a 5-6 team looking for an easy win isn’t going to get that in the top half of the American.
This the “price” we pay for being a good program.
Probably a better matchup than whatever bowl game we end up with.
We were probably an option until they saw D’Eriq King start at QB.

I should have just scrolled to the bottom instead of getting all excited. Smh. I wonder why we weren’t an option? Who said no? I know Paul Johnson isn’t the type of coach to duck anybody. And our kids deserve a 12th game so I hope we didn’t say no if asked.

This. There should be reasonable concern. Playing Tulane, Navy, and Ga Tech back to back is a lot to ask.
Maybe the Rambling Wreck should be renamed the Trembling cowards.
