Gotta think Norvell will be a candidate for Arkansas. A good fit and if there are any rumors they’re probably less inclined to care.

Sounds like he may be the top candidate. Supposedly, he wanted the job badly the last time it was open, but he got passed over (a lot of the same rumors for why he didn’t get the Tennessee or Ole Miss jobs).
However, Arkansas may be desperate and there may be no hotter candidate that Norvell at this point. Remember, they did hire Petrino way back when and dealt with Houston Nutt’s eccentricity for years. Wouldn’t be surprised if the boosters decide that he’s their man.
And, a lot of the stuff that supposedly stopped Norvell from being hired two years ago was due to the Hugh Freeze incident at Ole Miss. With that now in the background a bit, schools may be willing to take more chances if it means winning.
