With an outside shot to get back into the AAC West division race, Ward, the Cougars’ senior quarterback, said the team cannot afford to look ahead to the nationally televised Thursday night game against No. 6 Louisville or the regular-season finale at Memphis the day after Thanksgiving.
“We looked ahead before and it didn’t go as we planned,” Ward said.
