Rice - Take 2 (L 4-3)

Shaking my head…

Only good thing is we didn’t have to play extra innings with a conference series starting this Thursday.

RIP RPI

Down to #20 on Nolan

Who was pitching, and why was an 0-2 pitch with 2 outs in the 9th anything hittable whatsoever?

Pulido in his 4th inning.

Joey Pulido | 3.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 3 K

Freshman Brayson Hurdsman made his first career start for the Cougars and struck out a career-high seven in a career-long 5.0 innings of work. The southpaw allowed just two runs on four hits with no walks, but left with the game tied, 2-2.

From the second through the fifth, Hurdsman retired 10 straight hitters. After a leadoff hit-by-pitch in the sixth, he handed the ball over to junior Joey Pulido, who was strong through 3.0 innings before allowing two, two-out hits for two runs. Pulido would suffer the loss, falling to 1-2, after surrendering two runs on five hits with one walk in 3.2 innings.
