I’m impressed where are that high especially after the Clyde McBrooks years. I think the only team ahead of us without a national title is Gonzaga.
In my mind, just because you’re a Blue Blood (UCLA) doesn’t mean you’re Tier 1. And likewise…there are non-Blue Bloods in Tier 2 (Louisville, Syracuse, Indiana, Georgetown) that, current success-level not Tier 1’s, probably should be in the Tier 1 (for the overall history of success).
Villanova has more titles than Georgetown, Louisville or Syracuse.
A lot of mediocre teams would not agree with that assessment.
Why are the horns in our tier… C’mon man!
We definitely have much higher historical peaks but they’ve been to 27 out of the last 31 tourneys. That’s pretty good.
Shaka could knock them down if he stayed long enough though.
Without looking it up, I think every team in tier 2, with the exception of Gonzaga, has won a NCAA tournament.
Zags are in Tier 3. And I’m pretty sure you are right that all the Tier 2 teams have won a tourney.
Wichita State in Tier 5??? Seems sorta low considering how solid they’ve been.
You are right, I had confused the G and Bulldog mascots common to both schools.
The are a few schools I can find. New Mexico Lobos? The Lumberjacks? St Louis Billikins?
Only 123 teams on that list.
