Yeah, Bryan Jones, the 4* DE from Louisiana, is not listed. Haven’t heard anything about him either.

Looking in the directory, he is not enrolled at this time.

Yep, I wouldn’t get too worked up about it yet.

Looking over the roster, here’s some other changes:

  • Scholarship Sophomore Safety Michael Eke is not listed. Looking on twitter and his profile says Texas Southern University so it looks like he’s gone. Hadn’t heard that he was leaving so I may ask JD.

  • Patrick Carr is still on the roster so I’m starting to wonder if JD was wrong about him leaving. They’re usually pretty good about removing walk-ons quickly.

  • Luke Hogan, brother of Matt, is no longer listed. Guessing with the addition of Witherspoon that Luke decided it would be best to go elsewhere.

If he’s not tweeting about moving in with his teammates, or his first college practices, etc. . . then he’s probably not here. Yet.

Some other updates:

  • Khari Dotson is now listed as a DB instead of a LB
  • TE Kobe Idumwunyi is back on the roster as had been reported about a week ago
  • DL DJ Jenkins, as reported about a week ago, has been removed due to injuries
  • K Luke Hogan, who’s now at West Virginia, was finally removed

Hate to see Luke move on, but that may be an indication that competition was strong for the kicker spot. We have been pretty blessed with solid kicking for a while now and I am anxious about filling this spot.
