That’s my understanding.
I think he’ll play the SAM LB position, where he started in the bowl game. So it is LB. I just see it as more of a rover-type position in our defense. It’s Stewart’s position as well.

Thanks for clarifying, I’m not real up to speed on the different acronyms for the various positions. If Mutin and Jones get healthy and the kid that opted out for the season returns fully recovered from COVID ( sedrick Williams ) he can add another body on the DL. I like the way Our defense is headed and you can get a vibe about the type of players Early and Cauthon seek…disruptive aggressors on the DL

Yeah, I’m no expert on that defense, and it did seem like Anderson played a more typical LB position in the bowl game when I watched him some. But the depth chart shows Stewart and Jordan Moore behind him, so I think it must be a hybrid LB-SAF position. Seems we were told that’s what Stewart played at WVU, and Moore has been a SAF.
