Thank you Capt. Pedantic. My in-laws of 44 years are English and English-Canadian. Iâve heard âwhingeâ used by these Brits far more than your pedantry would ever appreciate.
My comment was meant to be a clever bit of fun with contrived etymology reflecting the nature of the opining on this board; to wit cringy and whiney.

Well Iâm from Pasadena so I donât understand half of the words you said. I just found the origin (slightly) interesting. And I did like your portmanteau (I do know the meaning of that one.)
