Coming off of its most wins since the 2013 season, the University of Houston Softball team found itself receiving votes in both the final USA Today /NFCA Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com /USA Softball Poll.

The Cougars earned five votes in the USA Today /NFCA Coaches Poll, while they captured four votes in the ESPN.com /USA Softball Poll. The appearance in both polls bookends the season for Houston’s appearance in the national rankings, as the Cougars found themselves receiving votes in both polls prior to the start of the 2019 campaign.
