The Houston Soccer team will open its six match spring slate March 3 with a three team triangular at the Carl Lewis Complex. Houston will face Houston Baptist and UTSA with the opening match starting at 10 a.m.
The Cougars are coming off of their first season under Head Coach Diego Bocanegra after posting a program-high three American Athletic Conference wins. All matches will be 60 minutes long, followed by a 30 minute intermission. Houston will take on Houston Baptist at 10 a.m., followed by Houston Baptist versus UTSA at 11:30. The day will conclude with the Cougars going up against UTSA at 1:00 p.m.
Houston Baptist posted a 7-7-3 overall record last season, including a 6-3-2 record in the Southland Conference under Head Coach Misty Jones. Houston Baptist kicked of its spring slate earlier last month when it faced Rice on Feb. 10 and Baylor Feb. 24.
UTSA posted a 3-14 overall record last season, including a 2-9 record in Conference-USA action. Houston went up against the Roadrunners in exhibition last season, drawing with UTSA 0-0.
