Sunday vs. PVA&M (W 92-72)

Gray picks up his 4th with 14:36 left

59-59 with 11:44 to go.

Galen’s taking over and getting to the hoop.

Really physical game.

We are going to need free throws to win this one.

67-62 Coogs. They look fired up and Brooks hits two threes.

Man. If we can go on another 6-0 run that would be nice.

Brooks is killing it. Keep feeding him the ball.

This is incredibly sloppy. They’re playing like zombies.

Disregard my last remark, posted earlier.

Fun game, got there early and was upgraded to courtside. 18 year old had fun as we were sitting right behind the Cougar Dolls and cheerleaders.

Brooks has yet to score more than 9 points in any game away from TSU this year. He had 3 three pointers against LSU so let’s hope the upward trend continues. We need consistent scoring off the bench from him. On the road CKS seems to give him a few minutes with a fairly green light, but his leash is short. He doesn’t fully trust him yet.

If we can just get young Brooks to be consistent we may really have something
Not sure what is wrong with Brady, but have a feeling he will be losing minutes as we move on if he doesn’t turn it around

Not the cleanest effort, but we ended up beating PV by the exact same margin A&M did when it was all said and done. I think they’ll challenge TSU at the top of the SWAC this year.

We’re gonna need a better effort vs Providence on Wednesday though, that’s for sure.

Brady was really banging, but the new emphasis on fouls in the paint seem to be causing him problems. He’s a solid rebounder when he’s in.

Zanna is another banger, but he has terrible hands. He never seems to be able to solidly grab a ball. Still, those two will help down the line.

Today, Coogs made the run with Galen, Brooks, Davis Jr, Davis, and White. Much faster lineup that matched up well against PVA&Ms speed and physicality. Wouldn’t be surprised to see that lineup more going forward.
