That puts a wrench in the equation. Some universities, like aTM, charge students for their tickets. UH does not.
So is our attendance listed at the top including students? Or not? If it does we are in deeper trouble because UH athletics made even less money this past season.
Students are included. Numbers were down about 20% from 2016. No university reports NCAA paid attendance without students included.
Harvey put a hurt into a lot of people. I know a couple of people from my tailgating crew who just couldn’t go this year, they had more pressing things to take care of, such as rebuilding their houses and such. I’m not gonna lie, breakfast tailgates don’t get me fired up like afternoon tailgates do. Something about starting tailgate at 1130/12 for a 6/7 o’clock kickoff is more fun. The heat can be very oppressive from 11-4 while sitting on the frying pans knows as the TDECU bleachers. I just hope the Rice and Arizona games will be at night next season
