I fill up with a huge meal at a restaurant or at home before the game. I’m not paying 8 bucks for a sorry hot dog when I can get a good one with a coke at Costco for a dollar and 50 cents. Tillman gets enough of my money at the casino or one of his great restaurants.

I ordered a BBQ chopped beef sandwich and it only had a bun, +/- 1/4 cup BBQ … and a hamburger patty??? WTF… no BBQ sauce …and paid the $10 -$11 dollars for it… very disappointing…not what I expected…and we were really hungry for BBQ…I want to buy food at Stadium to support School and am willing to spend $40 -$50 bucks a game there… and other season ticket holders like myself felt like WFT???.. if you pay full price for hot dogs maybe consider getting season tickets and you can get that for a reduced price…hahaha.also bought a Houston Gameday and looked for the Alma Mater and Cougar Fight Song words…found them on page 52…can we get them placed like in the middle page but at the same place on every Gameday magazine ?.. also why not show words on jumbo TV’s so we all can see and singalong … section 114 fans are awesome…PS… we tried 3 times to get a RTIC cooler and were turned down every time…dang it!!!.. gotta make my significant other happy and was not giving up …maybe next game I’ll be more inventive in getting one…hummm
Also, we walk around and go to all the Cougar Stores and look at what they got… seems like all have something the others don’t have so check them all out if you don’t find what you want…that sucks…So I buy a Bud Light on second level concourse (+/- $8.50) and it was half time and got the last one in the Frig…???..WFT…???..then gave a tip in cup and walked off… trying to twist off cap…Football fan grip twist etc… then figured out I need to get a bottle cap opener… didn’t seem right to stick it in my grill and pop off cap… so I turned back and went back to confession stand and same guy says…Oh sorry I forgot to pop top…???..how often does that happen???..F*^^#K…, nearly ripped into him…just smiled and walked away before I tuned in him…
Last note…I will be looking for inconsistencies and lackadaisical item at next game to photo and video for posting if they continue with the points we all made…We still enjoyed the Gameday and the Tailgating was awesome today in clear cool weather…so we had good attitudes and having fun …kids of fans were having a blast too!!!..go to the roulette wheels and get some Coog gear!!!..it’s free…Have a coke and a smile…it wasn’t that bad…we couldn’t of been as bad as #3 SEC Georgia ‘s Gameday…Ohhh!!!.. mic drop!!!

Where can you get BBQ? It is not available on the Home side at all. You think a big item like that woudl be sold at more than once concession stand but then again the BBQ did sound very good.
So I just tweeted Pezman again and this time shared the link to this thread so he sees the many bad experiences.

I remember the big brouhaha when I mentioned that hot dog buns were cold and half the respondents thought it was petty.
Apparently concessions are now even worse!
I will say that tdecu concessions are better than the high school football game concession on Thursday. But also 3 times the price.

Man, this season has been weird. The schedule. First game since the Prarie View game at TDECU after a month or so was just a weird feeling.
Concessions stands were all open when I got there, then when I went to get another beer, half were closed and long lines. WTF. Add my vote to ‘concessions sucked’.
Echoing Pray’s in-stadium experience summary. I don’t know if half the UH staff was pre-gaming at Minute Maid but it seemed the overall vibe was just trying to get through the game as fast as possible, not giving a bleep about the details.

This happened to me too! I showed the guy the card they gave us and told him about the discount. The guy said, “We don’t do that here.” I was like it’s a Stadium thing not an optional discount.
I pulled up the website of member benefits on my phone to show him and then they gave me the $1 off for food and drink. Then the food was like a high school game when the families volunteered to make the food. UGH! What a hassle on an overall bad game day.
I do plan on going to the remaining games so they need to get this cleared up. Does anyone know who we can send feedback too?

I forgot about the season ticket discount. When I got a beer and food the guy didn’t ask me if I was a season ticket holder. When I went to get a refill he did ask the lady in front of me who was getting a diet Coke.
I couldn’t find a beer vendor. Do we not have beer on tap anymore?
When the team is struggling I don’t need a pretzel.
In fact I need a double scotch with a cigar.

My irritation came from the lack of inventory in the Club bar and the fact they no longer keep tabs open.
I brought five folks with me and three were females.
I asked each one what they wanted at the bar.
1st one- Virgin Mary- they had no bloody mary mix. She said give here a water (no sale)
2nd one- a Pino Grigio- all the had was chardonnay.
3rd one- a Shiner Bock- did not have and settled for a cranberry and vodka.
I am a Pino Noir drinker and all they had was Cabernet.
So, I said I would like to start a tab and they informed me they do not do that anymore.
My group would have had at least another drink if we could start a tab, then they could go up and get it for themselves.
My wife said that her food was cold.(Some kind of nacho looking things)

Never had an issue before this season. When my gf and I attempted to get a Diet Coke refill with our souvenir cups the young lady told us they don’t do refills.
They have bbq sandwiches at the stand behind section 114
Another reason this new vendor is not worth the money UH is paying them. How do you not have the BBQ in multiple locations? None of the concessions stands for the 300s had that on the menu.
I concur about the stadium announcer, who was definitely bush league. He couldn’t even pronounce Holman correctly.
And, I concur about the DJ. He plays songs that often don’t sync with the mood of what is happening on the field. I’d rather hear the band play.
Plus, cold buns + hot dogs = unappetizing.

Some of these comments are really making me LOL! I agree with most everything said. From the concessions, to the bush league announcer, and the audio problems, there wasn’t much to get excited about. The weather was certainly nice. We moved our seats to the upper deck for the second half and enjoyed the view of downtown and MMP(where the World Series Champs were about to play!)

Renu and Pez need to get a group of season ticket holders to test the food. It is worst than what we had before. The food in the club was cold and bad.

Mr. Fertitta if this would be happening at one of your restaurants or ticket office (Golden Nugget) would you intervene and correct it?
These issues are not new. Given our leadership and hospitality expertise it is inaceptable.
We have a new stadium. It should be a place that every U of H alum, fan can’t wait to come to.
To be shooting ourselves the way we regularly do is on our leaders. This new stadium should be a top priority. You have choosen to lead us. Lead us please.
