Running back Mulbah Car was evaluated for an internal injury and discharged from a Honolulu hospital, a University of Houston athletic spokesman said.
Car took a hit to the midsection late in the Cougars’ 33-27 loss to Fresno State on Sunday night.
He spent the night in the hospital before returning to Houston on Christmas Day.
